Agenda, Week of February 8, 2016
Homework - Students should be working at home to complete their Article of the Week, Responses. Article of the Week, or AOW, will replace SSR, this six weeks. We will be reading three articles in class. If students respond to all three, their test grade will be a 70. Students can choose an additional three articles to respond to for an additional 10 points each. Recording document for this test grade is here.
Weekly Agenda:
Monday: Work with a group to write a short answer response after analyzing a news article.
Tuesday: Continue to work on the SAQ and review SAQ scoring criteria
Wednesday: Finish the SAQ; begin revising and editing of Technology and Dating essay. Final Copies are due Friday for a test grade.
Thursday: Continue Revising and editing of the essay. Final Copies are due on Friday. Students who don't finish in class will need to finish for homework.
Friday: Work on the Dialectical Journal; Valentines Writing to reinforce revising skills
Parent Information
Grades are posted for the three week mark. Students who need to retest on their Unit 3 exam need to take care of it this week.
Our English I EOC is scheduled for Tuesday, March 29th. Please don't make any doctors appointments for that day. The EOC is required for high school graduation. Your students are prepared! We've got this!

Tutoring This Week
Tutoring for the EOC is underway. While all students are welcome, letters were sent home if I feel your child real needs to attend. Students can attend any sessions; they are not limited to their child's teacher (all teachers on the list are English I teachers.
