Career as M.A.A. in the Navy

Work description

The main duties as master at arms is to protect and serve. You will provide security and protection for your fellow sailors.You will also be training fellow sailors self defense tactics. You will operate either from shore stations or aboard ships. Your uniform is the standard navy NWU, or navy work uniform ("Law Enforcement").

Salary

Salary for an enlisted sailor can range from $1500 to $2500 a month. Salary for an officer can range from $2900 to $7000 a month. Estimated yearly gross income for enlisted is between $18,000-$30,000. Estimated yearly gross income for officers is between $34,800-$84,000 ("Pay").

The navy compensation package includes world-class training opportunity and an opportunity to earn a college degree or an advanced degree. It also includes competitive pay, tax benefits and comprehensive health care coverage ("Pay").

Work Environment

How to become a service member

To become a member, you have to be dedicated and driven to protect and serve. You first have to go through the navy boot camp in Great Lakes, Michigan. Then, those looking to go pursue the master at arms badge, they will go to San Antonio, Texas for 9 Weeks to get basic law enforcement training.
