Principal's Corner
We have reached the last week of the 2018-2019 school year, and we have done so with the utmost pride and accomplishment. Each we have committed ourselves to expand the academic and social development of our students and ourselves. That is why the motto "Sequoia STRONG" Success That Requires Our Need Grow fits so well with who we are as Sequoia Teachers and Staff. We have an internal drive, a team effort, and a passion to be the best in order to help develop the best students we can. At the end of any school year or a sports season, a person always looks back at the missed opportunities. But, this week I want each one of us to focus on all the amazing accomplishments that we had. We have every reason to stand strong because we are the very few who can do the work we do. We stand with pride as a Giant Sequoian
This week will go by fast, so let's hang on tight, be supportive, and finish this school year with prestige. Today is the last PLC day to ensure your finals are set and ready to be administered on Thursday and Friday. Also set forth any ideas and goals that your PLC would like to tackle for next year. Mrs. C and the office will be processing the check out for seniors. We have our graduation ceremony this week and l look forward to seeing you all there as we bid a farewell to Mr. Silva and Mrs. Thomason. then we have the Big Taco Feast after the graduation ceremony. Then we wrap up the week with finals and our check day on June 10 and the annual BBQ.
.
The Admin Team will be off campus on June 11-12 for our annual retreat but we will be back on campus June 13th.

Sequoia High School Building Project
"To each, there comes in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing, unique to them and fitted to their talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared or unqualified for that which could have been their finest hour." Winston Churchill
The "Finest Hour" that we share and all will be remembered for is being part of the VUSD Team that inspired the construction of the new Sequoia High School. This will be a school that will stand like a Sequoia Tree, much longer than any other living thing on earth, including us. In a matter of months, we will take the first steps in the new school. Until then we take this summer to rest, recharge, and come back STRONG.
