Weekly Bulletin - Week of Oct. 12th
Weekly Principal's Note:
A special thank you to those who attended yesterday's Professional Development on FOSS Science Kits: Nuria, Kaelyn, Jamie, Marthie, and Gabe. I am working on getting this week's PD set for Wed. We will plan on having PD time from 1 pm - 3:30 pm. More details to follow on the PD...Shall we do a potluck for lunch???
I also want to thank all of you for the exceptional dedication you show to all of our students. As you well know, we serve a very diverse population that has many needs: academic, social/emotional, behavioral, spiritual, etc. As I watched all of you in Mass last Thursday (with your students), I was reminded of how much patience, love, and commitment goes in to being a classroom teacher. Thank you for all you do. I know it's exhausting some days, but our kids really rely on us for all of the support.
Have a wonderful week!

- Ms. Dempsey - Out of the building the week of Oct. 19th. I will be in for a bit on Monday morning and then gone the rest of the week. I will be chairing an accreditation team at Pretty Eagle Catholic Academy in St. Xavier, Montana. It's a St. Labre/Crow Reservation school with no tuition, solely relying on fund-raising...sounds like a fascinating school.
Progress Reports - Date Change!
Mass Info - Important
- Please go over the Saint of the Day and the Gospel with the kids prior to Mass, so that they can take part in any Q & A during the Homily. Doris will provide a copy weekly - thank you, Doris!!
- Please go over the responses/parts of Mass with the students, so that they can more fully participate in the liturgy. We especially need the older kids to be heard during the Mass.
Thank you for your help with these two items.
Teacher Evaluations - Danielson Framework
https://danielsongroup.org/framework/
I will be lining up meeting dates for each teacher in the coming weeks. We will be discussing goal setting for the year. I would like each teacher to pick 2 goals that they would like to work on this year. The goals must relate to aspects contained in the Danielson framework. One must be an instructional goal. Here is a quick image of the areas: http://www.ciu20.org/Page/465
The goal setting should be thorough, well planned, measurable, and focused on an area of improvement that is necessary in the classroom. I have a packet that I will be giving to all of you to assist in this process.
