*A NOTE FROM PRINCIPAL SCRIVO*

The district set up several opportunities this week for our stakeholders to engage and hear about the Classroom to Cloud (C2C) Framework model learning guide. This C2C Framework provides a roadmap of the three potential instructional models for the Fall of 2020. I hope that you took advantage of this opportunity to join in on the presentation and voice any questions or concerns you may have.

CLASSROOM TO CLOUD FRAMEWORK FOR LEARNING

This framework includes three different roadmaps for returning to school in the fall:

  • Plan A - Blended Instruction - Combination of instruction both in-person and online
    • Mondays/Tuesdays: In-person instruction for approximately 50% of students; other approximately 50% participating in remote learning
    • Wednesdays: Remote learning for ALL students
    • Thursdays/Fridays: In-person instruction for approximately 50% of students; other approximately 50% participating in remote learning
  • Plan B - Remote Learning Continuation - Similar to how we've continued the 2019-2020 school year since mid-March
  • Plan C - Completely Online - Instruction for families who are not comfortable returning to in-person instruction in 2020

We are grateful for the input of our entire community and we look forward to supporting you the best that we can.

Continue to stay connected by celebrating Virtual Spirit Week with us. The school building may be closed, but we can still show our school spirit. Continue to share your student/s photos so we can post them in our weekly newsletter and show off our school spirit! Please email photo's to elizabeth.bain@wbsd.org. See below for more information.

NETIQUTTE

When anyone engages online, it's essential that everyone behaves appropriately. West Bloomfield students and staff must comply with the Student Code of Conduct and Staff Handbook when it comes to communicating online. As a quick reminder, when you're online, be sure to:

  • Use respectful behavior and language.
  • Stick to appropriate topic discussions.
  • Send only appropriate video transmissions.
  • Use only appropriate icon, emoji, and avatar submissions.
  • Wear school appropriate clothing if you are attending meetings via video.
  • Be honest and do not plagiarize or copy others’ work -- in other words, use academic integrity.
  • Not falsify information about yourself or impersonate others online.

When everyone remembers to act kindly, show consideration for others, and treat one another online as you wish to be treated in person, we'll all be able to focus on learning.
