Biography
Leon Trotsky was a communist theorist, leader in the 1917 Russian Revolution, and head of the Red Army. He was allies with Vladimir Lenin during the 1917 Russian Revolution. Trotsky was suppose to be Lenin's successor but Joseph Stalin won. Stalin exiled Trotsky from the Soviet Union and later decides to assassinate him. Trotsky was attacked by Mercader. Mercader killed Trotsky by slamming an ice pick into Trotsky skull, he died the next day.

If Trotsky didn't stop Stalin from being Lenin’s successor, he would have been the new successor and there could have not been a cold war. Even after Stalin became the successor of the Soviet Union, Trotsky still tried to make Russia politically better.
