Tyngsborough High School

March 2, 2018

What's happening!

What's that old saying? March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. As we head into a weekend with another storm upon us, it has been a busy week returning from February break as the trimester winds down. Sophomores have been busy in ELA preparing for the upcoming MCAS exam which will take place at the end of the month. Students in Service Learning and International Action collaborated with the American Red Cross to hold a blood drive on Thursday. Thank you to all that helped organize this event and to those that donated blood, without you this event would not have been successful. Many classes have begun presenting final projects and reviewing as trimester exams will be taking place next Wednesday through Friday. As a reminder please send your child with a dismissal note if they are being dismissed after exams.

Congratulations to the Girls and Boys Basketball teams which have both picked up wins in the Division 3 Central State Tournament. The Girls have advanced to the Sectional Semifinals and will be playing Wednesday, 03/07 at 7:45 against Millbury at Clark University. The Boys hope to join them in Worcester next week as they take on Gardner today at 5:30. GO TIGERS!!!

Check out the second episode of the Tynsgborough Public Schools Crossing the Bridge by clicking here. This show gives you an inside look of some of the great things taking place within TPS. Outstanding work by Josh Kelly and Corey O'Neill in putting this together.

Have a great weekend!

Make sure to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application if you have not already done so. This application can be found at fafsa.gov. The FAFSA is the most important application in the financial aid process. All colleges and universities will require the FAFSA before determining a financial aid award. Colleges may also require students to complete a CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE (profileonline.collegeboard.org) and/or a college specific financial aid application. It is important to be aware of each college's financial aid deadlines - missing deadlines could result in missing out on financial aid. For more information on the financial aid process please visit mefa.org.
