Davis/Martin Peek at the Week
August 28 - September 1
Dear Parents,
Our first Scholastic book order will be due Friday, September 8th. If our classes collectively submit an order of $300 we will receive 10,000 bonus points, which can be used to order books for our classroom library. With that many points we should be able to order over 100 NEW BOOKS! We need your help to get to our goal. Please consider placing an order this month.
Reading logs are due this Monday, August 28th. From here on out, students will turn logs in on Monday mornings, as well as receive new logs. See the "homework" section of this newsletter for more information regarding requirements.
We will start our math logs this week. These logs are designed on the same premise as reading logs; 5 nights a week and due on Mondays. The students will use Moby Max (an online, adaptive math program) to work on mastering basic facts. Also once logged in, your child will immediately start the lessons and begin improving his or her missing skills. Be on the look out for an informative letter, please read over it, sign, and return to school.
