TOUGH Talk
To be Colonel TOUGH means that you:
Treat others with respect
Obtain goals
Understand diversity
Go above and beyond
Have heart
Let's have a little TOUGH talk about treating others with respect. It has come to my attention over the last several weeks that we have some students using unkind language with each other either in person or over social media. Some of these unkind messages and words have been about race and some about gender. Being Colonel TOUGH means we treat others the way we want to be treated, with respect. Our school must be a safe place for all students where we follow all of our TOUGH promises, including understanding diversity.
I encourage each of us to every day do better than the day before. I also ask that each of us evaluate the benefit of social media in our lives. Think about how much time you devote to your social media, is it bringing success to you? Is your time on your social media platforms bringing you joy, helping you achieve your goals, or is it bringing you stress? Are you using social media to be kind and to spread joy or to spread negativity and cause stress?
Successful people build each other up, they motivate and inspire. Unsuccessful people complain, blame and spread negativity. Strive to always spread kindness and joy and treat others the way you want to be treated.
Life is a bit complicated right now and it is easy to get caught up in the negativity of the world. It's not hard to become overwhelmed with all there is to worry about. So, I challenge each of us, myself included, to ask ourselves these questions: How was I kind today? How did I spread positivity today?
Be kind, be safe, be happy, make good choices, and be healthy! Thank you for listening to my TOUGH Talk.
Thank you,
Dr. VonDenBosch

Senior Spotlight Class of 2022
Week of October 18
Last week, information was shared via email and on our social media pages to senior parents and students regarding cap and gown ordering. Jostens will be here on October 19 to take orders for cap and gowns during all lunch shifts. Students can bring a down payment, or pay in full, with cash, check or money order. If paying with cash, PLEASE BRING THE EXACT AMOUNT. Jostens will not be able to make change. Online ordering is strongly encouraged.
Our goal is to have all orders placed by December 31, 2021. The price of the cap and gown package will increase after the first of the year.
Strawbridge Studios will be here on November 16 to take Senior Portraits for the yearbook for those students who did not have their portrait taken over the summer. Sign up information for this will be coming soon.
Please be sure your email information in powerschool is up to date. This way you will receive all the important information regarding senior year.
You can always email me at france.bernadette@ccpsstaff.org with any questions or concerns. I will do my best to have an answer for you! I look forward to an exciting year as we prepare for the Class of 2022 graduation!
