the tell-tale heart

summary of the story
"The Tell-Tale Heart" is a story by edgar allen poe first published in 1843. It follows an unnamed narrator who insists on his guilt after murdering an old man whom the narrator insists has a "vulture eye". The murder is carefully calculated, and the murderer hides the body by taking it apart and hiding it under the floorboards. Ultimately the narrator's guilt manifests itself in the that the man's heart is still beating under the floor. it does not say the setting, but i infer that it was in a hotel or somewhere in which the murderer and the victim are in the same complex/building.
