Tar from cigarettes destroys lung tissue, making the lungs less able to function...can cause diseases like bronchitis, pneumonia, emphysema, and cancer. This picture shows what tar does to your lungs.

Smoking ages your skin (wrinkles, cracks) and can actually make someone look 20 years older! This picture shows the difference between a non-smoker and a smokers face. the smoker has a lot more wrinkles.

Cigarette smoke contains over 4,000 chemicals including 43 known carcinogenic (cancer-causing) compounds and 400 other toxins. The carcinogens in cigarettes include cyanide, arsenic, rat poison, insecticides, toilet cleaners, antifreeze, and explosives. That's a lot of cancer-causing chemicals!

Now if none of that scares you enough, try looking at this picture. This is a picture of tooth decay from smoking. How would you like to look like this just because of smoking cigarettes? Smoking is very bad for you, but if you would really like to look like this and also higher your chances of getting lung cancer, smoke away.
