Congratulations to our Eagle Warrior Familia!

Congratulations Class of 2021!

YOU DID IT! You were able to overcome the challenges of the pandemic with courage, determination and hard work. We are very excited to be celebrating YOUR accomplishment on Saturday, June 5th at PayPal Park!

Congratulations to the following Eagle Warriors on their acceptance into the 2021 Pediatrics Summer Internship Program at Stanford University:

  • Eagle Warrior Yazmine (10th Grade)
  • Eagle Warrior Esmeralda (11th Grade)

This is a 5-week internship focused on science and medicine that is open to high school rising juniors and seniors who live in Northern California. The goals of the program include increasing interest in biological sciences and medicine in high school students, helping students to understand how scientific research is performed, and increasing the diversity of students and researchers in the sciences.

Congratulations to the following Eagle Warriors on their acceptance into the 2021 Summer Engineering Seminar Program at Santa Clara University:

  • Eagle Warrior Emmanuel (11th Grade))
  • Eagle Warrior Sinesio (10th Grade)
  • Eagle Warrior Mariana (11th Grade)

The SES program is designed to motivate young people to pursue science and engineering majors in college so they can ultimately participate in the scientific and technical work force. It provides participants with a chance to explore the many possibilities of engineering as a career. Participants virtually attend special workshops, complete their own engineering projects, and experience outside-of-class aspects of Santa Clara University through afternoon and evening recreational activities.

Congratulations to the following Eagle Warriors on being selected for the next round of consideration for the Students Rising Above Program. Your LCPA Educational Community is extremely proud of all of you. You were chosen among 440 applicants and are part of the 117 finalists. Our next step is to prepare you for the interviews. Felicidades!

Based on parent feedback, we will re-open school on Wednesdays only for the remainder of the year. Summer 2021 Program Opportunities: TRiO Summer Program now accepting applications!

OPEN to incoming 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders

TRiO will be hosting a 6-week online summer program!

Through the summer program, Students will enroll in and earn college credit for an EVC counseling course. Additionally, you will also participate in college preparation workshops which will cover topics such as college systems and financial aid. There will also be staff available to assist incoming seniors with PIQ drafts.

Summer Program Details -

  • Monday thru Thursday June 14-July22m, 2021
  • Schedule –
    • 9-11:30AM – Couns 14 (College Success) – UC/CSU Transferable 3 unit course
    • 11:30-1:30PM – College and financial aid workshops, enrichment activities
    • May 5 Deadline to sign up, you will need to fill out the google form: TRiO 2021 Summer College Prep Program.

Why attend Latino College Preparatory Academy?

LCPA 2021


GOAL #1: Latino College Prep Academy (LCPA) will work to ensure equitable access to all students increasing proficiency in ELA and Math content standards. This allows LCPA to increase student graduation rates, A-G completion requirements, and establish a clear pathway for post-secondary achievement.

GOAL #2: Latino College Prep Academy (LCPA) students will have access to rigorous and relevant learning tools & resources taught by highly qualified teachers, a facility that is in good repair, and access to the curriculum in alignment with the Common Core State Standards while addressing the needs of the English Language Learner population.

GOAL #3 Latino College Prep Academy (LCPA) will cultivate a positive and welcoming school culture that promotes student learning in an academically and physically safe environment while maintaining a low suspension rate.

Cyber High Enrollment to recover credits for Graduation or A-G Eligibility

Remember, students who failed any classes must make up those classes to stay on track for graduation, and the 4-year colleges do not accept D grades.

LCPA Student Behavior Expectations for Distance Learning

LCPA believes in supporting the safe and responsible use of all online and digital technologies for teaching and learning. During this period of distance learning, all students are responsible for continuing to practice positive digital citizenship by protecting and respecting their peers and teachers. We all must understand, practice, and model positive and productive behaviors when we are online. Because a remote learning environment is still a classroom, school behavior norms and rules are to be followed just as expected in the regular educational setting/classroom.
