Updates from Mr. Matt
Dear TECEC families,
I hope that everyone had a happy and healthy Thanksgiving! I always enjoy visiting the classrooms and hearing all the stories about the meals the children ate which included turkey, hot dogs, pumpkin pie, "stuff", potatoes, "potatoes with mini marshmallows", pizza, candy and rolls. Listening to their stories certainly made my hungry! I had the good fortune of having my whole family together which included my son and his wife's labradoodle puppy for our german shepherd to play with. The togetherness is a blessing that I'm sure each of you feel when you spend time together with those who are near and dear to your hearts.
I would like to express my gratitude to all who donated mittens, hats and socks to our children and families in need. The Barky box is nearly full which will certainly keep a lot of children and adults warm this winter. Thank you for your kindness!
Kind regards,
Matthew Wheeler, Ed.D.
Principal
Fantastic fours update........
The fours have had an exciting November and we are looking forward to a fun December! During November we continued our Bridges math curriculum focusing on shapes, counting and number identification. We are up to the letter P in Fundations! We learned about thankfulness, harvest and fall activities.
We did a grade level project with turkey disguises! Thanks to all the families who participated in disguising your turkeys at home.
In December, we look forward to gingerbread week, learning about the holidays, and exploring nocturnal animals.
Please continue to practice independence with putting on jackets, hats and mittens. Please label all your child’s clothing. Also, if you have not sent in fall/winter extra clothes, please do! We will send home your spring/summer clothes.

TECEC Student Progress Reports
Next Thursday, December 8th, you will receive a report regarding your child's progress via email. As mentioned in our TECEC weekly newsletters, the report will look different than we’ve provided parents in the past. Based on parent feedback, other district and state reports, our curriculum committee, consultants, and team members, we determined that the new format will provide you and our team with a higher level of detail that better aligns with our children’s needs and curriculum standards.
