English Presentations in Ms. Dailey's Class
Cooper DeAngelis, Nicolas Keefe and Kya Murray, grade 11. presentation on imagery in Ms. Dailey's English class.
Skills USA Winners Present to DSC
Nate Murphy, Dan Obichie, and Andrew Wharton took third place at the Skills USA National Competition last June. They worked very hard on the project and presented to School Committee on Tuesday, September 20th. The young men posed with their Engineering instructors, Dr. Meyers and Mr. Hamill. They also thanked Mr. Foley, Skills USA Adviser for all his assistance and thanked their teachers for re-directing their efforts when creating their prototype. They are looking forward to this year, too.
Mr. Celeste's Hands-on Science Class
Zack Mar, grade 9 and Salma Abdelrahman drawing atoms from the periodic table (Helium) in Mr. Celeste's class. The students were very engaged and able to explain their drawings, including neutrons, protons and electrons.
Karimah Land and Senator Elizabeth Warren (Selfie)
Karimah attended the Washington Leader Training Institute in Washington, DC in September. Karimah is the State Officer for Skills USA. Karimah met students from all over the United States, visited many of the monuments, Pentagon, Unknown Soldiers Tomb, Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, and she participated in many SkillsUSA events. Her favorite place was the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. Check out all the photos on the MA SkillsUSA Facebook page. and more details about her trip. Karimah is a cosmetology students and plans to go to college for sports medicine with a minor in political science to become a physical therapist. Karimah realizes she will be able to use her cosmetology experience to make money while going to school.
Out of the Mouths of Freshmen
Donovan Ducheine (below) from Randolph told me that this is first time he is excited to get up and come to school. Donovan's favorite thing is the every other week schedule which rotates academics and career technical education because he has a week to do his academic homework. Donovan is interested in basketball, track, computer technology and becoming a Game Programmer.

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is Coming to Blue Hills this Fall!
Students, teachers and administrators will gain a refreshing view of music and audio-video production in this state-of-the-art mobile studio. 250,000 students visit this bus, which was founded 16 years ago.
