INTEGRITY - PAWsitive Character Trait for November
The Integrity Mindset: An Obligation to Ourselves and to Others.
Integrity means knowing the difference between right and wrong and choosing to do the right thing, even when it is difficult. Keep trying! Keep doing the right thing! Feel proud about doing so!
Discuss ways your child shows integrity at home and school. Part of showing integrity is accepting when we are wrong and being willing to accept others, despite mistakes they make. If we are trying to do the right thing, but make a mistake—that’s okay! ALWAYS be truthful. It is okay to say “I don’t know” when you don’t know. Talk about how to make good choices even when it is difficult. Have a growth mindset in trying to always do the right thing! As you model this character trait for your child, he/she will learn why you live as you do and learn to make good choices on their own, and be proud of themselves for making those good choices!

OPERATION WISH BOOK
Donation of new books are being collected for Operation Wish Book. Children and adults will be selecting books (simple cookbooks were high on the request list last year). The donation box will be in the display case by the office and will be collected through November 18th.
All books collected during Operation Wish Book are sent to the Salvation Army’s Toy and Joy Shoppe.
If you have overdue books, please return them as soon as possible. Other students want to check out that awesome book!
A note from the office:
- Please call the attendance line if your child will not be in school. (208)854-5724
- Please leave a message if you call the office and it goes to voicemail. We check the voicemail all day long.
- Please do not call the office after 3:00 pm with messages to give to your child. There is no guarantee at this late time they will get it. Please try and talk with your kiddos before they leave for school about after school plans.
Holiday Resource List for Families
Save your pop tops!
We are saving pop tops for the Ronald McDonald house.
If you have some pop tops please bring them in and give them to your teacher. Thanks!
A note from the counselor:
Having trouble with screen time and getting your child(ren) to bed?! You are not alone! Research says that our children need AT LEAST 10-12 hours of sleep for them to be the best they can be at school.
Read this great blog by the makers of the documentary, Screenagers- Growing Up In The Digital Age, and see how other parents fight this battle! Our kiddos need these boundaries from the people they love the most!
