We Honor Our veterans on Labor day
With Constitution Day just passing, we wanted to show Glenridge how much our veterans do for us, and how much they contribute to our country. So in this edition of "Through Our Eyes", we are going to be honoring our veterans, and acknowledge how they put their lives on the line, every day, just to keep us free. Not only will we honor our veterans but, we will also acknowlege Mrs.Hoover's son who is going to go into that war with Isis. Thinking of Mrs.Hoover's son, it brought to us a thought on also writing about other students who have family members in the armed forces, with labor day and constitution day just passing.
Mrs.Hoover's responses to our interview
-I have a son who is a navy seal and I have a son who is a coast gaurd captain.
2. How do you and your family feel about your sons going away and possibly putting themselves in danger?
-Our family is very proud of both my sons Christopher and John-Patrick for their service to the military. My oldest son, Christopher, served in Iraq for a year and I had to get used to the concept of him being in harm's way. Both boys work in very dangerous careers.
3. How long have your sons been in the armed forces?
-My oldest son has been in the Navy for 11 years, and my youngest son has been in the Coast Guard for 7 years.
