Workshop #6: Preserving your Garden Harvest

Saturday, March 28th, 10am-12pm

Topics include:


  • How to preserve a variety of different crops
  • Methods include; canning, freezing, dehydrating, pickling, root cellaring
  • Which methods work for which crops
  • Equipment needed and how to use them

Included in this session: Reference sheet - demo on vacuuming sealing a bag manually - Packets of pectin-- recipes for sauerkraut, fridge pickles and blanching times for freezing veggies.



$30 per session; $150 for the series.

Scholarships available - no one will be turned away for lack of funds!
