Trantwood Times
"Captivating Every Student, Every Day!"
An Attitude of Gratitude Rocks!
- Gigantic Kudos the following individuals who submitted their names to the PTA so a student could spend some time with them doing something fun: Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. Richards, Mrs. Hawley, Mrs. Lee, Ms. Moore, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Metzger, Mrs. Lambert, Mr. Cassidy, & Mrs. Francis.
- Thank you to Macey Henry. She shared her secchi disk and refractometer for our oyster field trip. Also, she assisted our class with Google Docs in Google Classroom. Thank you! Julie Ruszala
- I appreciate the entire Trantwood staff for always being willing to lend a helping hand when a student is having a difficult time—it truly takes a village! I am grateful to LouAnne Metzger for having a listening ear, and Karen Lewis for jumping right in and offering great new ideas to help support our students. I want to thank Tim Cassidy for mentoring a student who is in great need of a positive role model. I am grateful to Katie Schatti, Stephanie Piron and Terri Hawley for their caring hearts and willingness to meet the needs of all students. Lisa Lee
- Mrs. Metzger, I just wanted to say thank you for filling out my ODU form last week and the feedback below. I have used your suggestion of generalized statements (over calling individual students) and I have seen great improvement. It is intriguing to watch how quickly the students off task will refocus when they know you are taking notice. Melinda Pezzella
- Thank you to Lisa Lee for supporting me at a conference for a student! It wouldn't have been as successful without her! Jenny DeLashmutt
- Gina Howes for her bus management skills and for lending a helping hand to others during her lunch and planning times.Nancy Kurz
- Thank you, Nancy Lambert, for helping first graders with animal research. The first graders in Spanish Immersion will miss Mrs. P! Thank you for all of your help these past few weeks! Thank you, Mrs. Lee, Mrs. Metzger, Mrs. Lewis, and Mr. Cassidy for being on call to help our students. Thanks to Mr. Cassidy and Mrs. Bailey for setting up an awesome PNO!! Melissa Moore
Kudo's to Barbara Iman for going out of her way to help with a sick preschool student and dealing with a difficult parent. Thank you so much for your help! Leanne Bolin
I'm very appreciative of Mr. Cassidy for going above and beyond with one of my students! He is mentoring him and setting an excellent example as a male role-model. It is amazing to watch this child's demeanor change in Mr. Cassidy's presence. Thank you for taking your planning time and lunch time to help shape his life. Jenny DeLashmutt
Kudos to Nancy Kurz for handling our Humphrey book order, kudos to Terry Hill for creating labels to put on student copies of Humphrey to avoid confusion and lost books, kudos to Karen Francis and Persi Charalambous for creating the Humphrey vocabulary boxes, kudos to Sue Jerasa for laminating all things Humphrey, and kudos to Nancy Lambert and Brooke Martinette for creating the clues and Breakout Box activities for Humphrey! Finally, kudos to Tim Cassidy for agreeing to play the role of Humphrey at our school assembly on Jan. 3rd! Jan Roewer
I'm grateful for Jenny and Tracey for leading the way through a new grade level and making me feel like an important part of the team. Jenny Mello
Kudos to all those who helped make the move to my new room quick and easy! I am so thankful for a caring and loving staff! Kudos to Hannah, Elise, and Cathi for being great Girls on the Run coaches to work with! Claire Johnson
