Mr. Bennett's Life Science Class
a little bit about what we've been up to...
THIS WEEK'S WINS!
2. Interactive Notebooks have become our best friends as we look back & review our hard work!
3. Students are grasping the big picture of life science and are making connections as they see how each of the AKS are interconnected.

Preparing to Exceed on the CRCT!
I'm so glad you asked! While standardized testing is nobody's favorite, I am so excited for our students to be able to take the science CRCT with great confidence. Our students have work so diligently this year and they have been prepared for success at a very high level. I cannot wait for them to be able to come home and show off their level-3's!
In class we are reviewing & extending our understandings of our life science content. This week, students learned about animal & plant cell structures, cell processes, & how the human body systems are interconnected. We took a quiz today to see how well we have mastered the material.
Next week, students will take a look back at Ecology as we focus on how energy is moved & cycled throughout our ecosystems. We will explore each of Earth's major biomes & end the week with a review of the cell cycle and genetics. I am planning for students to use their devices next week to take their quiz through an app called "socrative".
Our Next Project: This will be completed, mostly, in class and I plan to begin this on Monday, April 28th. Students will be creating a colorful mind map that connects all of our science AKS to each of the levels of organization. These levels are cells, tissues, organs, organ systems, organism, population, community, ecosystem, biome.
