Archibald Alexander

Archibald "Archie" was born in Iowa in 1888. He intended Iowa state university and had received a civil engineering degree in 1912. In 1914 , as a designer for the marsh engineering company, he was responsible for the Tidal basin in Washington D.C and the K street freeway. He studied bridge design at the university of London in 1912.
After several of years as a design engineer a former university classmate had a general contracting business which specialized in the design of steel and concrete bridges.
