The Three Trimesters
The First Trimester
During the first trimester, the body undergoes many changes. Some of which include: Your period has stopped for a long time now, you grow extremely tired, mood swings may occur, and headaches will be a sign that your first trimester has begun.
The first trimester usually lasts from week 1, to week 12 before entering your second trimester.
The Second Trimester
Congrats! You've made it to your second trimester! Along with this awesome accomplishment, you gain body aches, such as back, abdomen, groin, or thigh pain due to the fact that your body changes to make room for your growing baby. And before this trimester is over, you will feel your baby beginning to move!
The second trimester usually lasts from week 13, to week 28 before entering your third trimester.
The Third Trimester
It looks like you're almost done! Just a couple more weeks and you'll have you're baby in your arms in no time! But in the meantime, you might have headaches, heartburn, hemeroids, tender breasts, which may leak a watery pre-milk called colostrum and trouble sleeping.
This trimester usually lasts from week 29, to week 40 leading up to your due date.
Advice For Fathers
The dad will need to play a big role during the pregnancy. He will need to assist the woman with everything that she needs. He will also need to comfort the woman during labor for comfort.
