Italy's Flag
Italy's flag was most recently adopted on June 19, 1946. It was inspired by the French flag and has three vertical stripes in the order of: Green, whit and red.
Climate
Italy's climate has cold and rainy winters in the North, cool around Rome and mild in the South. Summers in the South can also be very hot.
Housing
Many People in Italy own a home and those who don't dream of owning one someday. Some families spend their whole life in a rented apartment in which they call their home.
Language
Italian is the official language of Italy. Dialects differ from city to city. Young children speak English and adults speak French as their second language.
Religion
80% of the Italians are christian with the majority of Roman Catholics. A small percentage is protestant, Jewish or Muslim.
Art
Some of the greatest painters, architectures, and sculptors were from Italy such as Donatello, Michelangelo, Da Vinci, and Venice. Modern fashion designers such as Gucci, Cavalli, Valentino and Versace have also gone under the category of great artists. Italians also take pride in their crafting of leather goods.

Italy's president is head of the state and is chosen to serve a seven year term. The prime minister is approved by president and is head of government. They can also be removed at any time.
