THIS IS TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK - BRING IN A FLOWER TOMORROW!!!
Hi Everyone,
just a friendly reminder that this is Teacher Appreciation Week so the entire school is bringing in one flower for each of their teachers tomorrow. So let's let Ms. Liz and Ms. Natalie know how much we love and appreciate them by each bringing in a flower which we will add to one (or two) vases and present to them in the morning. I know they'll feel so loved, so don't forget!
PREPARING FOR WEDNESDAY TEACHER'S LUNCHEON:
Following that will be the school wide (K1 & 2/3 campus), Teacher's Luncheon. It has been decided by the Room Parent commitee to serve our wonderful teachers with an Italian lunch experience this Wednesday. We, Ms. Liz's class, have been selected to provide Italian dessert. Each parent should bring in an Italian dessert, (If you would like to change it up and bring in another type of dessert, I'm sure they'll appreciate that just as well). Please keep in mind when buying or making dessert that there will be a total of 35 happy teachers grubbing with both K1 and 2/3 campuses combined. Lastly, the teacher's luncheon will be taking place at the Assistance's League. Please remember to drop off your desserts at the Assistance League, not in child's classroom. If you are pressed because you have to be at work at a certain time, please coordinate with Doug or Jossie, or any one of our great parents to drop off your dessert with them and someone can drop it off to the A.L for you.
PREPARING FOR FRIDAY: VOLUNTEER NEEDED FOR POSTER AND PHOTO BOOK AND WISH LIST TO COME SHORTLY:
Poster:
Friday, both K1 and 2/3 campus will be presenting our teachers with a Poster and photo book (actually I think the photobook is optional). We need someone who will be kind enough to volunteer putting together a poster with each child's picture and a quote from them. We really need someone to step up ASAP. Once we know who is heading the poster, we will designate a place where you can leave a photo of your child with their quote. So please begin deciding on your picture and working with your child on their quote.
Photobook: Providing Ms. Liz and Ms. Natalie with a photobook is an option. If you are interested, please email Doug or Jossie as soon as possible and let us know. We can then collect whatever money is comfortable to contribute and put it towards the photo album. Again, we need someone who will volunteer to do the photobook. Perhaps those photos can be emailed to the person putting it together. Once we know who this wonderful volunteer is, we can decide where we can leave them whatever we can contribute, as well as provide you with their email address to forward the photos.
Wish list gift:
Lastly, we will hopefully be recieving Ms. Liz's classroom wish list very soon. As soon as we do, we will forwarded it to you so you will have time to buy her a gift that your child will present to her this Friday.
Again, let's make sure Ms. Liz and Ms. Natalie feel appreciate. Let's all come together this week so we can accomplish this. Please feel free to email Doug or Jossie with any questions or suggestions. As always, we thank you very much for your support.
REMINDER: TURN IN YOUR (2) PERMISSION SLIPS for Class trip THIS FRIDAY 5/10
There are two waivers to be signed and returned, that you should have found in your child's homework folder this week. One from the Wetlands and a CWC permission slip. Please sign and return both, as soon as possible!
