Bobcat Bulletin
December 2, 2016
Dear Super Staff,
I hope you will find some time to celebrate with your class or kids you work with. This is a big deal.
"Who has Lighthouse Status?" or if/when someone asks "what's the big deal?"...here is something to share with your Ss:
- According to the CDE there are 5, 858 schools in CA
- Only 11 schools in California have attained Lighthouse Status (that's .18%)
FUESD holds 6 of these 11!!
- There are only 246 schools in the world (internationally) that have reached Lighthouse status and 208 are in the United States!
Please share the video Zorayda sent you with your class. Thank you SLT for creating this AWESOME movie.
Pretty cool!
Stephenie

Climate/Culture
I saw this quote this week and it really stuck with me-
"To GROW your kids, you have to KNOW your kids."
This is imperative for our population. We need to really know each childs STORY and understand them and build trust. We all work much harder for teachers/bosses we like and trust. How can you "get to know" your kids better?
- TIME with each of them.
- Ask them "What would you like your teacher to know about you?"
- Journal writing
- Look at their cums and their data in IC and Illuminate.
