Conference goodies

I just returned from the Missouri Association of School Librarians (MASL) conference and boy am I overwhelmed! I heard so many great ideas from experience librarians and newbies alike. This newsletter creation tool, Smore, is one of those wonderful tidbits of information shared with us by one of the knowledgeable presenters. It is so easy to use!

Another great techie tool that was shared with me was Phonto. This is an app for android or iOS devices that allows you to enter text onto a picture. I can think of a zillion uses for this both in the classroom and outside the school doors. Imagine students creating visual representation of fractions, taking a picture of it, and adding the equations to the picture. How do could you use this in your classroom?

New releases I am excited about!!!

Book 4 has not been titled or given a release date... I am so ready to see what happens next!

Gathering Darkness (Book 3 of the Falling Kingdom series by Morgan Rhodes)

"Morgan Rhodes has created a rich, living fantasy world and character that immediately draw the reader in. This is one of those series you can't help but be obsessed with - I can't wait to see what happens next!"

- RICHELLE MEAD, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series

And the winners are...
