THE WEEK OF MAY 8-12, Year 2 Volume 25
Dear ACE Family,
Great job kicking off STAAR week! Students appear focused and intent on sharing what they have learned this year. I am sure our results will reflect quality teaching, learning, collective hard work and dedication.
Thank you for taking time to complete the Dallas ISD climate survey. As I consider our progress and the accomplishments, I can't help but feel pride to work in such a student-focused district. I believe we are moving in the right direction for the following reasons:
- We are investing in early education so that every child can enter school kindergarten-ready.
- We are providing effective turnaround support for chronically struggling schools with great teachers and leaders: ACE!
- We are expanding opportunities for high school students to earn two full years of college credit through our collegiate academies.
- We are creating schools of choice to give families options for selecting the "best-fit" educational experience for their children.
- We are compensating teachers and campus leaders based on results for students; thus reinforcing that outcomes for students matter most.
We have much to celebrate! Best wishes for an enjoyable and productive week,
Sincerely,
Jolee Healey
