Student Illness Guidelines for Returning to School
BEST PRACTICE: Please keep your child home until he or she is symptom free, without medication, from fever, bacterial infection, vomiting, diarrhea, or rash for at least 24 hours.
Please help prevent the spread of illness & infection of other students.
Students with a temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or greater should not attend school. They should be fever free for a minimum of 24 hours without the aid of fever reducing medications before returning to school. Please do not give your child fever medication and send them to school.
Students that visit their physician’s office or clinic for diagnosis and treatment and are started on antibiotics for bacterial infection (strep throat, pink eye, etc.) should be home from school until 24 hours after antibiotic treatment was initiated.
Students who are vomiting or have diarrhea should be home from school and be free of vomiting/diarrhea for a minimum of 24 hours before returning to school.
Students sent to school with any of the above symptoms will remain in the health room until a parent/guardian is able to pick the child up from school. Students with the above symptoms will NOT be allowed to return to the classroom. The only exception to these guidelines would be written or verbal confirmation from a physician noting the student is safe to return to school. Thank you for helping to keep Mukwonago School District a healthy place to learn.

Ushers Needed for New MHS PAC
It's that time of year when we reach out to our local friends, family members, and community neighbors who might have an interest in joining the great group of people in our Greenwald Foundation Performing Arts Center Volunteer Usher Corps . For just a few hours every other month, our volunteer ushers help foster an enjoyable performance experience for audience members attending our plays, concerts, musicals, assemblies, and outreach programs in our lovely new venue. Volunteer ushers enjoy seeing great events for free while knowing they are a key part of supporting and growing our area performing arts.
Being a PAC volunteer usher is a great role for retirees looking for something to pass the time or for fine arts lovers who might have some spare hours in their schedule. Minimum requirements include being over 18, able to stand for an hour, able to push a patron's wheelchair, and able to interact with others in a friendly, tactful manner.
With our fall concerts, fall play, and many school holiday performances coming up, we are especially looking to add to our volunteer usher ranks in the next few weeks. Our first orientation meeting was October 22nd but many other orientations will follow during the year, so if you know of anyone who might enjoy this opportunity, please forward this email to him/her with the invitation to contact me in the next week at mukpac@masd.k12.wi.us or via phone at 262-363-6200, x25041 to learn more!
Thank you for your support of Mukwonago performance events!
Regards,
Julie Hanisch
