MSST Newsletter
February 2019
MSST Parents and Swimmers,
We had a very busy weekend, with lots of great swims. We had 2 more qualify for the Region XII meet in Oregon, and several more AG and JO times. I have updated the list of qualifiers for AG and JO’s under the swimmer tab. The Region XII will be updated today.
The coaches and I are always thinking about how to keep the kids motivated and working hard. We have come up with three new programs that we are hoping will help.
1. Swimmer of the month. At the beginning of the month we will announce our swimmer of the month. We are looking for positive traits, that make this person a role model for others. The swimmer will be featured on our website with a picture, bio and small token from the coaches.
2. Swim of the meet: The coaches, after each meet will pick a special or outstanding swim. The swimmer will then be featured on the website with a write up on that swim.
3. Swimmer council: We have put together a group of swimmers from the Senior, Junior, and Age Groupers group, to form a swimmers council. They will meet every other month to discuss happenings on the team, things they would like to see happen, things they don’t like, etc. This will be a coach free environment so the swimmers can speak freely. I would like to thank Meadow Bailey for being the adult facilitator of this group. We will have a representative be a part of the board meetings to discuss their mtg outcome. Their first meeting will be Feb 6.
As always please feel free to contact me for any of your questions or concerns.

PLEASE BEAR WITH US
You may have noticed over this past week our website has looked a bit...different. We know that there have been some complaints about the website and we know that change is hard, but please be patient with us. Our goal and intent to have all the information you would need, in a simpler form. I can’t thank Olga Napolili enough for the countless hours she has put into this site.MSST Regular Board Meeting
