Saratoga Arts - Art in Public Places
Saratoga Arts - Art in Public Places is a program featuring art exhibitions online and in various locations around the Capital Region. This program gives local and regional artists an opportunity to showcase their work while exhibiting in publicly accessible spaces.
The Ballston Community Public Library is now an exhibition site for this program. Each month a new artist from Saratoga Arts will display their work in the Library's Community Room. Learn more about the artists from Saratoga Arts.
Community Board Game NightFriday, March 24th 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Come play board games! Instruction will be given to any new players, so no prior board game experience is required. Games available to play will range from modern classics like Catan, to hot new titles such as Dune: Imperium, Lighter fare games Codenames through cooperative games like Mysterium, and much more. The Canal Craze — This presentation will discuss the construction and success of the Erie Canal and the subsequent “canal craze” that sparked the idea of a Great Sacandaga Canal. Discover the area’s efforts to expand their commercial reach as they sought to draw raw goods and resources from the Sacandaga Valley and throughout the Adirondack Mountains down to the Mohawk Valley. *Presented by the Schoharie Crossing Historic Site Sign up online or by calling 518-399-8174. | Paper Plate ChickPick up a fun Grab 'n Go craft kit and make a paper plate feathered chick! The craft kits will include most of the materials you will need to make the craft. You will need glue, a pencil, and scissors at home to complete the project. This craft is recommended for children ages 3 and up. The Grab 'n Go kits are available during library hours the week of March 20-24, and they are located in a bin outside of the library on a first come first serve basis. |

15 Miles on the Sacandaga Canal?
