Winter Greetings DAL Students!
February 15, 2016
From the desk of Dr. Joshua Black, Executive Director of the Division of Adult Learning
We hope that you are enjoying this beautiful time of year, especially if you like snow like me! We are constantly trying to improve our programs and services that we offer to Lee University Online and Charlotte Center students. The following are some updates of what has been going on for the past few months and what is to come:
Record Enrollment
New Graduate Programs Offered Online
In fall 2015, Lee University launched an online version of the MBA program that piloted a 7-week model of courses. The program and 7-week model has been working so successfully that additional graduate programs online will utilize this same model. Utilizing 7 weeks instead of 8-week courses provides an additional 6 weeks of break through the year!
This summer, Lee will be launching the MS in Marriage & Family Studies program online. This program will also utilize the 7-week course model. For more information on either of these graduate programs, please contact the DAL Enrollment Services Department.
Writing Lab and Library Services Online
Did you know that Lee offers a free Writing Lab for all distance students that is available to you all year long? Are you also aware the Lee has a distance librarian that is available to you too? The calendar and appointment request site for the writing lab is available in Portico. You can see a video on how to access the writing lab at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoKb_LgTomI.
The Library Services for your specific location can be accessed by clicking the buttons below.
STAY CONNECTED WITH LIVESTREAM
Lee is continuing to increase the number of campus events that are live streamed for you to join in on the event over the web. In Moodle, students and faculty can now see a link and a picture of the Lee Chapel inside of their course that leads them to Lee University’s “Video-on-Demand” page. Most chapel services, including fall and spring convocation, are now being live streamed. Music concerts, sporting events, and other campus events have also been streamed. Student and faculty feedback has been strong thus far in support of increasing the university’s streamed offerings. Please join us on the live stream!
We are very thankful that you are a Lee student at this amazing Christ-centered university.
May the Lord bless you and keep you!
