Weekly Wildcat News for Families
Week of 10/18-10/21
Welcome Back! Let's get ready for a great 2nd nine weeks, WILDCATS!
I hope you had a wonderful fall break. Fall break is a time for our students and staff to have a break from our busy lives. For myself, I spend the week with family and friends. We attended my daughter's final senior year GHS volleyball game, enjoyed walking on the beach together, and even had some time to watch some SEC football. I hope your week was full of special memories. I truly appreciate the time to reflect and also take time to give thanks for my many blessings. EastView is definitely on my blessings list.
During the first nine weeks, our school days were full of excitement and joy. Our students have made so much progress already. Having students in person has helped us get back to a normal type of school year. Thankfully, many activities that we had taken for granted in the past were able to happen this year. Parent meetings, Open House, fall picture day, field trips, special guest speakers were among those events. We know it has been difficult for many who have been affected by Covid-19 or from being in a quarantine situation. We are hopeful that this situation will improve and that our students and staff will stay safe and healthy. Masks are still encouraged, but not required at this time. EV teachers and staff are OPTIMISTIC about our second nine weeks and we look forward to spending time with our EV wildcats.
