Message for Senior Families
It's College Application Season! Senior year tends to go by very quickly, so make sure to read all of the information below. If you have not yet submitted your senior ad for the yearbook, or taken your senior portrait, or paid your graduation dues, do not delay! Check out the important dates below and don't miss those deadlines! Also, if you are interested in learning more about college financial aid, check out our online webinar this Saturday. See below for more information.
While this can be a stressful time for seniors and their families, we hope that you take time to enjoy your student's last year of high school and make those important memories!
FINANCIAL AID PRESENTATION
Join the counseling department for an informative Financial Aid Webinar this Saturday October 8th at 10:00am. A presenter from the Georgia Student Finance Commission will discuss the HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarships as well as the FAFSA.

Senior Year To-Do List
Senior Dues:
It is now time to pay your Senior Fees! Your Senior Fees are $150 and are due by December 1st. This covers the cost of your cap, gown, tassel(s), diploma, diploma cover, pathway medallions, pins, and all other costs associated with your graduation ceremony on May 20, 2023. Please click on this link: Senior Dues Payment Instructions for instructions on how to pay your senior fees. The direct website to pay is www.3rdascent.com. Caps and gowns will be delivered to Alliance Academy and will be handed out to students on Senior Celebration Day in May.
Senior Pathway Survey: Parents – please make sure your student completes the pathway survey for graduation. This will determine which pathway your student will sit with for the graduation ceremony. This link has been posted in the Class of 2023 itslearning course as well for students to access.
Senior Brag Sheet / Senior Profile:
If you have a senior that will need a recommendation letter from a counselor/teacher, please take the time to complete a Senior Parent Brag Sheet, which will give parents the opportunity to brag about your student and help the counselors write a recommendation letter to the college/university they are applying to. Also, be sure to have your senior complete a Senior Profile, which will provide counselor/teachers with additional information about your student. Click on the links or on the images below. If you have not already filled one out, please do so ASAP.
College Applications:
Many colleges have Early Decision/Early Action deadlines in October. Make sure that you are checking the college websites for information specific to the college/university of choice. Check out the Senior Toolbox on our AAI Website for resources and information about the college application process.
Yearbook / Senior Portraits:
If your senior has not yet had their senior portrait taken for the yearbook, you will need to set up an appointment ASAP! Students who have NOT yet taken a Senior Portrait will be able to set up an appointment to take their photo at Alliance on Thursday Oct. 20. Click here for directions on how to set up an appointment. Make sure to choose Oct. 20th if you want to take the portrait here at school. Only the traditional poses are available on that day.
Yearbook Sales and Senior Ad Pages: DEADLINE EXTENDED!!
It's time to purchase your yearbook and create your Senior Ad page to honor your student. Please click HERE and HERE for more information. The deadline to submit Senior Ad Pages is Oct. 17, 2022.
Important Dates for Seniors
Early Decision Deadlines: If your student is applying for early decision/early action, please check the deadlines of the school. Most schools have deadlines in mid-October to early November.
Regular Decision Deadlines: If your student is applying for regular decision at their college, most schools have deadlines in January and February. Check with the college for specific dates.
May 20, 2023 Graduation Ceremony 2:00 PM We will celebrate the class of 2023 at the FoCAL Center on Saturday May 20, 2023.
