"Touchdown!" The crowd goes wild as the Quarterback dropped a dime into the Wide Receiver's hands. The crowd sounded like a lion just came out of no where and started attacking the food carts. Do you know about football? Well if you don't you came to the right place!

Another One Bites The Field

Have you ever thought of the consequences for playing football? Well the consequences are very severe! You could possibly die. You might get a head banging (really bad) concussion that might make you forget your mom's name and maybe even your own name.

If you get nailed why to hard you might get paralyzed. Then you'll have to live your life in a wheelchair.

Concussions are starting to be easier and easier to happen because the concussion rate has doubled in the past year

62% of injuries occur during practice and 38% of the injuries happen in a game. Approximately 8,000 children are treated in emergency rooms each day for sport related injury. But we need to use all the stuff we have in this world to make this number lower.

I'm not trying to scare you guys. If you can play football that's awesome. Just go out there and have fun. Forget about all the stuff that can happen to you and just go play football.

Football Legacy

Have you ever heard of or played football before? Well it's been around for a long time. Football is even older than your grandparents. If you say that your grandparents are older than football, then you are crazy because football has been around for about 150 years. I bet your grandparents aren't 150 years old.

If you get confused about football you probably think you probably think that the Super Bowl is an oversized bowl. But it's really a championship of the best two teams in the National Football League (NFL). The first Super Bowl was played on January 15, 1967. The first Super Bowl was played at Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles.

This might sound insane but the first football was made out of pig bladder. I bet your thinking that the first football was disgusting. But I bet the football players didn't care. Now you don't have to worry about that because the football now is made out of leather.

Penalties Kill A Team

"Oh my, another flag!" Said a coach in a angry voice as a yellow came flying on the green glazed field.

Penalties can ruin chance of winning the Super Bowl. Penalties might even help you win.

For example, say that you are on the 30 yard line with 3 seconds left in the Super Bowl. You're only by 2 and you need a field goal. But you get an offsides and you have to move back five yards. Then the kicker missed the field goal because it was out of his range and you lose the Super Bowl.

A way penalties could help win is, say you are at the 30 yard line with 3 seconds left in the Super Bowl and you're down by 2. Then the defense gets an encroachment penalty and you move up 5 yards. Then your kicker makes the field goal perfectly like when you hit the middle of a bullseye. Then you when the Super Bowl.

That's why if you play football you want to try your hardest not to get penalized.

Just Play

Football is a brilliant sport to play, but you have to be aware of what could happen to you if you play football. All I want you to do is have fun and just play the game.
