Meal Pick Up Information
The Webster Groves School District will be serving meals from Clark Elementary, Steger/Givens, and Webster Groves High School this semester. Meals can be picked up daily from 10:45 to 12:45. We ask that you fill out a meal survey form each week that you wish to pick up meals. You can find the form here https://forms.gle/D8jwiM8dKfLDSVGS7
Clark Elementary (preK -8th grade) pick up will be by the student drop off area
Steger/Givens (prek-8th grade) pick up will be by the covered awning next to the doors by the cafeteria
High School pick up will be by Roberts Gym (9-12 grade)
The cost for breakfast is $1.75 for elementary students and $2.80 for grades seven through 12. Elementary lunch is $2.80 and $2.85 for grades seven through 12. Upon pick up, meals will be charged to your student’s account using their lunch pin. Please have the name of your student, lunch pin, and school the student attends ready when meals are picked up. If you would like any additional meals, we can provide a meal for a younger sibling or adult for an additional adult meal charge of $2 for breakfast and $3.40 for lunch, which will be charged to your student’s account.
Parents can pick up the meals without the students present, and students are welcome to pick up their own meals as well. Breakfast will be picked up for the next day when lunches are picked up. If you don’t want breakfast, please be sure to indicate that on the meal survey form. Completion of the form each week will help us serve your students. Please only complete the form if you plan on picking up meals.
Menus will still be posted in Nutrislice on the websites of the schools that are participating in the meal pick up. In addition to the menu items, a vegetarian meal option is available upon request on the weekly survey form. We will be offering meal delivery for our students as well. Once you are on the list for meal delivery, you will stay on the delivery list and breakfast and lunch will be charged to your students’ accounts daily, unless there is a notification to cancel your delivery.
Free and reduced meal applications can be filled out any time during the course of the year and are completely confidential. However, a 20/21 free and reduced meal application must be on file to receive free and reduced meals. You can also access an application by clicking on the following link.
We ask for the safety of our staff and students that a face mask be worn during meal pick up.
We look forward to serving your students their breakfast and lunch while they start their learning online. For any questions, please call Nancy Pelant at 314.918.4156 or email at pelant.nancy@wgmail.org.

Canvas Information
WHAT IS CANVAS?
Canvas is Webster Groves School District’s learning management system, which supports teaching and learning by connecting all of our digital tools in one place. This connection empowers teachers to transform the learning experience for students by making it more personalized, engaging and collaborative.
Students can check their course calendars, access materials and submit assignments. In addition, parents and guardians can access Canvas to view course calendars, grades and assignments.
CANVAS LINKS
Canvas for Students
This address allows students to quickly access Canvas through the web. This link will not allow parents or guardians access to Canvas. Students can also use the Canvas app on their mobile devices.
Students will login to their district Clever account: https://clever.com/in/wgsd
Students will then choose login with Google. After the students login to the district wgcloud email account they will then be in their Clever portal. Students will select the Canvas icon and then be in Canvas.
If you do not know your child’s email address and password please reach out to your building level secretary.
Canvas for Parents
Parents and guardians can use this address to quickly access Canvas through the web. Students will not be able to use this link to access Canvas. Canvas is also accessible through an app as described below.

CREATING A PARENT ACCOUNT
Please be aware that being a parent observer in Canvas is similar to looking out the window of a plane. You can see the ground but you can't make out all of the fine details. There may be times when you click a Canvas notification on your phone and it will result in a 503 error. This happens because you do not have a Webster Groves email account, and both Canvas and Google limit what you can see. If you need to see everything, we recommend logging in to Canvas using your student's account.
If you have any questions please complete the Canvas Q and A form.

Jumpstart Conferences
Jumpstart Conferences are an opportunity for you to meet virtually with your child's teacher and tell them any and all information you would like to share so the teacher can get to know your families a bit better.
Please fill out this form (one per child) prior to your Jumpstart Conference.

School Supply Pick Up
On August 19th, we are organizing a school supply pick up. The supplies that will be dispersed do not include supplies listed on this document. The supplies are items the classroom teachers feel are necessary for virtual learning over the next 9 weeks. The pick up on the 19th will also include the School Toolbox for families who ordered one.
In order to ensure the health and safety of our families and staff we will be following CDC guidelines, and we will be exchanging materials via car trunks only. Families will utilize the lane right in front of school on Gray Avenue.
When you arrive, please indicate using a sign whose materials you need.
For example, if you are picking up for the belongings of John Smith, please have a sign that says, John Smith | Grade 3 | Teacher Name on it so that we can easily get things ready for you. If you are picking up the belongings for more than one student, please include their names, grade level, and teacher name on the sign as well.
Please pop your trunk.
A staff member with gloves and mask will then place your student’s pre-bagged materials in the trunk.
Please note that we have divided our school into groups based on the first letter of your last name. Please make every effort to come in the timeframe we allocated to you. Our hope is that this will reduce the wait time and the amount of families coming to Bristol to collect supplies.
Feel free to pick up a neighbor’s supplies if you and the neighbor have clearly communicated that with each other.
If you are unable or do not wish to pick up your child’s supplies, please communicate with your child's teacher and we will arrange an alternate pick up.
