You may not be able to predict the weather on graduation day, but you can be sure I will be on the stage at graduation fighting back tears. It is so amazing to celebrate each of our incredible Seniors as they transition into the next phase of their lives, and it is unbelievable how fast the time goes. Caylin Bell wrote an outstanding article on one of the ways our team celebrates our Seniors on Decision Day. Check out her piece in the Concord Chronicle.

CHS took 4 teams of 4 students each to the Moore Math Marathon presented by Albion College. The Concord 4 Mathsketeers won 3rd place in the small division. There were 4 rounds of competition consisting of the solo challenge, team theme, triple play, and the scavenger hunt. The teams were chaperoned by Miss Fields, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Thorrez, and Mrs. Reed.

This year Mr. Bauman is excited to have the opportunity to teach something brand new at Concord Elementary School, ARCHERY! NASP (National Archery in Schools Program) is a wonderful organization that teaches students about safety, proper technique in shooting, maintaining and maintenance on the bow, as well as responsibility. The cost for this program was around $1700. Through the generosity of Whitetails Unlimited and the DNR, with guidance from the ISD, Mr. Bauman was able to gather enough money to pay for the program. Mr. Bauman was required to take a one-day training course in the summer to be qualified to teach the program and must teach the program for a minimum of 10 hours per year to keep his certificate. So far, the students seem to be enjoying the program and the experience it provides.

This week's trait is Self Care! Knowing how to manage stress is critical to success and self-care is one way to deal with the challenges that stress presents for our students. These YellowJackets of the Week demonstrated self-care throughout the week! Congratulations! #ONEHIVE
