Family Newsletter - Week of June 1, 2020
Last Week of the School Year for 2019-2020
Thank you to our students for persevering during this time of uncertainty. Thank you to you, our parents, for balancing home and school and meeting your families needs to the best of your ability. Our staff appreciates you for your cooperation, flexibility and understanding during this school closure and time of uncertainty.
One fact that is important to us as a public education institution is that the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling did not open our buildings. We remain closed until June 30, 2020. Therefore, we must assure that activities that we hold for our students follow the CDC guidelines, the recommendations of the Manitowoc County Health Department, our liability insurance carrier and our legal counsel. These guidelines are the basis of our plans for all our events including farewells and graduations.
- Staff distributing any items to students or parents will wear a face mask and sanitary gloves while maintaining social distance
- Social distance will be practiced with all staff and students
Thank you for your understanding and support while we keep the safety and health of our students at the forefront while meeting the guidelines and expectations of Wisconsin schools.
From now and throughout the summer, our leadership team will be working with our state, our county and our EWC (Eastern Wisconsin Conference) leaders to plan an effective roll-out of opening our school grounds. I will continue to provide a weekly newsletter throughout the summer with updates. Please take time to read the newsletter and contact me if you have input, suggestions or concerns. You will find that our website is the perfect source for information, newsletters, and videos of our events.
We will also be receiving a survey in the second week of June. Please return the postage paid card with your input. This information is valuable to us as we plan for the 2020-2021 school year.

Three Universal Truths
1. WE BELIEVE – Children succeed when they are surrounded by adults who believe they can succeed, No Exceptions.
2. WE CONNECT – Children succeed when they have meaningful and sustainable relationships with caring adults.
3. WE TIME TRAVEL – Children succeed when they can articulate their future in four domains rather than one, (which is generally Education & Career): Home & Family, Education & Career, Community & Service, and Hobbies & Recreation.
