LPS Weekly Newsletter ~ 8/19/2022

Message From The Principal

Dear LPS Families,

We are excited to wrap up our first week welcoming students back to school. Our Tigers did great! They spent time this week learning new systems in and out of their classrooms as we worked to lay the foundation for an awesome school year. As we move through the coming weeks, we will get to know our students even better as individuals. We will complete our beginning of year assessments and begin to use the assessment data to differentiate and personalize learning for all students.

Thank you for sharing your child with us. We are looking forward to an amazing school year. Please feel free to reach out, connect with us, and share any questions or concerns you may have.

Lunch in Loveland City Schools

The federal pandemic-related program that provided universal free meals to school-age children has expired. School lunch and breakfast will no longer be free for everyone in the 2022-2023 school year. All students will be required to enter their PIN number (their student ID) for their purchased or free/reduced lunches.

Families who qualify for free or reduced lunch can complete the application at PaySchools Central. Students can purchase breakfast for $2.00 and lunch for $3.00. Extra milk can be purchased for $0.60. You can load funds to your child’s lunch account on the PaySchools Central website or you can send in a check or cash in an envelope clearly marked with your student's name. Please note that when a student does not have sufficient funds in their account or cash to pay for lunch and reaches a charge balance of -$10.00 (approximately 3 meals), a letter will be generated by the Nutrition Office and mailed to the parents along with automated phone message notifying them and will continue until the balance is reconciled. Nutrition Services is happy to accept donations to pay off lunch debt for students who owe meal charges.

Menus will be on the Loveland City School website along with nutritional information and common food allergies in early August. Menu items are subject to change due to availability and food shortages.
