From the Principal
Welcome Back! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break. We have a little over 2 weeks until Christmas Break.....and they are super busy weeks for our campus!
This week, we started our first round of benchmark testing, and it will continue next week. Please see below for an important message from our Special Programs Specialist, Chelsea Davis. As we get close to rounding up the second 9 weeks of school, encourage your child to continue to work hard, do his/her best, and give 100% to learning all they can. Let's finish this nine weeks in a strong way!
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Shepherd
Special Programs Specialist
Due to Fall Benchmark testing, our campus will be CLOSED to parents and visitors December 10th-12th. Parents will not be allowed to eat lunch with students, volunteer, or do classroom observations on these days. Thank you for your cooperation!
These tests give teachers important information about what your child has learned so far and what still needs to be worked on this Spring. Please help your child by making sure they get enough sleep and have a good breakfast. Students may bring a snack and bottle of water on these days.
Perfect Attendance Incentives
Life School Red Oak would like to encourage our students to be in attendance each day to make sure they can “Ready to Learn, Ready to Lead, Ready for Life.” We will hold a drawing at the end of each month for all students that have perfect attendance for that month. Students must have perfect attendance during the month, no absences, tardies, or early checkouts. There will be a prize for students that are in Kindergarten thru 3rd grade and a prize for students in 4th grade thru 6th grade. The prize winners will be announced during morning announcements and we will contact the parents/guardians to come by the office to pick up the prizes. Please see Pages 3-4 of the Student Handbook for the Attendance guidelines.
Prize for November/December: Television

LifeLeader
GOAL ORIENTED
When you are ready for life, you focus on a particular goal and the task that is needed to achieve that goal. You think about who you want to be, what you want to be known for, what is meaningful to you, and what you can achieve. You are always thinking about what steps you can take to get you closer to your end goal. By doing these things, you are using the leader attribute, goal oriented.
This weeks I will statement:
“I will be goal oriented by thinking about my future and how I will get there.”
