Student Gaiters Are In!!

Dear Bulldogger Families,

Let me start by saying a huge THANK YOU to everyone for helping make our restart a success. With so many new procedures, students, staff and parents alike all helped make the transition to back to school a very smooth process. Thank you to all the students who supported our efforts by wearing face coverings from day 1.

I'm happy to announce that your student will be getting one Bulldogger neck gaiter today or tomorrow. We know the use of face coverings will help reduce the chances of viral transmission and hope it can help us remain open for in person learning. We also expect students to receive more masks in the coming weeks that are being provided by the State.

Because students will be receiving a limited supply of face coverings, personal care of these items will be important for their longevity. Although these items can be placed in the washing machine, we suggest that any face coverings be hand washed with an appropriate clothing cleaner and warm water.

1. Prepare the cleaning solution and soak the face covering for at least 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

2. The face coverings can be placed in a clothes dryer but we recommend air drying to further protect the fabric.

3. Please make sure that the face covering is completely dry before use.

4. This process should be completed on a daily basis.

Face coverings should never be shared with others.

I've included our Health & Safety Protocols information again in this edition for your review. As of last Friday, Washington County showed another increase in the average number of new COVID-19 cases per day. If this trend continues, it's likely that our county will be soon be in the Moderate risk category. Once we enter Orange 1 as indicated on the chart, we will begin to consider a move to Distance Learning Phase 1. We will keep you updated as we continue to monitor the most recent information.

With much appreciation,

Vince Vincent
