Gordon’s Coffee Connection Returns to Northstar Elementary

For the first time during the 2020-2021 school year, the student’s in Mrs. A. Gullion’s room were able to serve the Northstar staff coffee, juice, and other goodies. Read more.

On Monday, March 29 the Knoxville School Board voted unanimously to move to tier 3 of the Facility Use By Non-District Groups plan.

This includes:
  • Events with spectators allowed

  • Face coverings are required indoors except for coaches and athletes if an athletic event*

  • Concessions allowed

  • No restrictions on capacity

  • *Masks optional at outdoor facilities

  • The following KHS Band students received a Division 1 rating at State Solo/Small Group Contest:

    • Clarinet Duet - Angelina DeSocio and Alexa Jerkins

    • Clarinet Solo - Angelina DeSocio

    • Flute Solo - Jayce Hughes (Perfect Score!)

    • Piccolo Solo - Jayce Hughes (Perfect Score!)

    • Saxophone Duet - Brianna Norman and Lily Yocum

    • Trombone Solo - Alexia Davis

    • Woodwind Duet - Olivia Maasdam and Norah Pearson

  • The following KHS Choir student received a Division 1 rating at State Solo/Small Group Contest:

    • Mason Hatch

    • Katie Collins and was also selected "Best of Center".

  • Jim Uitermarkt was selected as the winner of this year’s Champion Award - a prestigious national honor from the Coaches v. Cancer program.

  • Knoxville was also the National Champion this year for the most money raised for Coaches v. Cancer events by a school

  • We had 8 students - Ashley Kearney, Morgan McKay, Kaden McGill, Josie Brooks, Samara Staton, Shaylyn Black, Cassie Brooks, and Bailey Finken compete at the State FFA convention

  • Kieren Nichols qualified for the Drake Relays in the 400 meter dash

  • A safe, ultra-successful Prom occurred on April 17
