Border Crossers Training (let me know if you are interested in attending)

Talking About Race in the Classroom:

A Training for K-12 Educators Committed to Racial Justice

How do we have conversations about race or racism with our students? How do we ensure racial equity in our classrooms and schools?

Upcoming Training Dates:

ABOUT THE TRAINING

Border Crossers believes that each teacher has a unique opportunity to nurture a racially equitable learning environment for children.

Through this training, educators will:

  • Strengthen their analysis of how racism manifests in our schools and classrooms
  • Enhance their understanding of how racism affects children
  • Practice using tools and language to address race and racism in the classroom
  • Gain strategies to support a school-wide culture of respect, equity and inclusivity

This is not a lecture or a presentation – we use interactive theater and adult learning techniques to collectively discuss the role of race in our lives, share personal experiences of critical moments with students, develop strategies for confidently and effectively entering into conversations about race in the classroom and practice what to say when tough situations arise.

** please note: all ticket sales are final and non-refundable**
