PSAT Lunch

October is early acceptance time for colleges. We have already seen and celebrated with several students who received admission letters. We ask students to share these letters as well as any scholarship offers with their counselor. We add the student's name to our celebratory college admission board and we announce the student's name and college admission during announcements. Our goal is always to strive for continuous improvement. Let's go, Class of 2019!

Meal Charge Policy
Students are not allowed to purchase a la carte items if their account has a $0 or negative balance. If they are purchasing a milk, we will allow them one charge as a courtesy. The Lunch Clerk will inform the student and parent that there must be funds in the meal account for a la carte purchases. The next attempt to purchase a la carte items will be denied until the account shows a positive balance.
The district charge limit applies to reimbursable meals only and not a la carte purchases.

important message from attendance clerk
Attendance Clerk Mrs.Busby
Is your student absent today?
In general, there are two things school needs you to do if your student is going to be absent:
Call the school and report your child absent:
Please call (817) 354-3000 by 9:00 a.m.on the first and each day your student is absent or email the Attendance Clerk at: kbusby@harmonytx.org
Why are absence calls necessary?
Excessive absences are considered truancy under state law, the school reserves the right to take extreme absence cases to court. For detailed attendance information please read the Harmony Public Schools student handbook pages 13-15. We really appreciate receiving those calls and emails about absences first thing in the morning as it helps us ensure the safety of all of our students. Thank you!
Send a Written Note:
Upon returning to school, the student must bring a note, signed by the parent that describes the reason for the absence. A note signed by the student, even with the parent’s permission, will not be accepted.
Please do not send notes on post its, index cards or torn pieces of paper. Notes must be received within three days of the absence or the absence will be unexcused.
Extended Absence
Are you planning to take your student out of school for an extended absence? Pre-plan multiple day absences (for any reason) require advance approval by our Principal. Please call 817-354- 3000 or stop by the front office and we will walk you through the authorization process and arrange for homework to be prepared for your student to take with them.
