A "sirtfood" is a food high in sirtuin activators. Sirtuins are a type of protein which protects the cells of our body from dying and becoming inflamed through research. The article also claims that there has been more recent research done on the purpose of Sirtuins, and apparently it has been shown that they can help regulate metabolism, increase muscle and burn fat.
Foods that can be included in the Sirtfood Diet include red wine and dark chocolate (a huge selling point)The eating plan focuses on upping intake of healthy sirtfood which can include: apples, citrus fruits, parsley, capers, blueberries, green tea, soy, strawberries, turmeric, olive oil, red onion and coffee. Countries who eat a lot of Sirtfood include Japan and Italy, are both ranked among the healthiest countries in the world.
The eating plan associated with the Sirtfood diet was a normal one. In the first week of the diet, you restrict your intake to 1000 calories a day (this includes consuming 3 sirtfood green juices and one sirtfood rich meal a day. In the second week, calorie intake is going to be increased to 1500 a day, as well consuming two sirt food rich meals, and two green juices. In the long-term there is no exact eating plan. The goal is to eat as many sirt fries as possible.
The creators of the Sirtfood diet are a pair of authors and health consultants called Aidan Goggins and Glen Matten. Their focus is mainly on the patient's overall health and increasing that. They focus on eating healthy rather than losing weight.
The Sirtfood diet is a good idea if you want to boost your immune system, pack in some vitamins and feel healthier.
