Principal's Message

Hello Indian Run Families,

Another great week in the books at IRE! We sure are glad we pushed field day to this coming Tuesday. Lots of rain this week. Just a reminder that Field day is this Tuesday (September 28). Be sure to send your son or daughter to school in tennis shoes/sneakers and bring a water bottle.

As always, please let us know if there is anything we can be doing to better support you and your family. We are in this together!

Have a great weekend!

Amber and Marty

Field Day

Our Field Day will be outside on Tuesday, September 28th. Wear tennis shoes/sneakers and bring a water bottle.

  • Grades K-2 (9:20-10:50am)
  • Grades 3-5 (11:00am-12:30pm)

Panorama Survey (Grades 3-5)

Student well-being is one of the District’s top priorities.

We plan to administer a social-emotional learning (SEL) questionnaire to students in grades 3-12. SEL describes the mindsets, attitudes, and feelings that help students succeed in school, career and life, such as growth mindset, self-efficacy and sense of belonging. These results will help us better understand ways we can support students' social and emotional needs.

Fall Harvest Parties

We are excited to be able to host classroom parties this year! IRE will have these on October 29th.

  • If you are interested in supporting your classroom teacher, please reach out to them directly.

  • How could you help? Share arts, crafts, activities, ideas, etc. to make for a fun Harvest Party.

  • Food will not be consumed at the parties.

  • Limited volunteers: 1 per classroom, to support the parties.

  • To mitigate the spread of COVID, we will not include costumes or a costume parade this year.

  • Our 5th Grade Principal Advisory Team will help us organize a Spirit week (October 25-29). Stay tuned for their creative and fun dress up ideas :)

The Wire

Be sure to check out our latest episodes of The Wire. The kids really do a fantastic job with these productions!

MAP Testing Update

Parents will receive MAP testing results through a district email at the beginning of October.

Syntero: Free 1 Day Workshop for Students

With the school year underway, we are aware of continued adjustments and challenges students are experiencing. Syntero is offering a one-day prevention workshop aimed at teaching students healthy and developmentally appropriate coping skills for managing stress and navigating expectations, and promoting resilience & emotion regulation.

Please sign your student up for the age-appropriate option. If the option you are looking for is not listed, the workshop is full.

Syntero Wellness Workshops will be held on Friday October 15, as the majority of students in the Central Ohio area are not scheduled to have school that day.
