A Note from Mrs. Stefanich
Hello Park Eagles,
Once again, we will be having an outdoor costume parade around the community, and we are looking forward to seeing you there! We are planning on Tuesday, the 31st at 9:15. Feel free to send your students to school in their costumes that morning, but please refrain from including any blood, weapons, or scary pieces at school. Our parade route will run out the back of our school, past the administration building straight down Van Buren. Next, we'll take a right on 36th Avenue, and then another right on Curtis Street until we head back to the front of Park Elementary. We'd love to see you on the route. It's going to be a beautiful day!
You will notice that we have conferences coming up in a couple of weeks. We are so excited to welcome you to school to talk about your child's progress. Please watch for an email next Friday to schedule your conferences with your child's teachers. We will be using Our School Bookings for you to schedule your time. It is a really user friendly site, but if you have any issues, your child's teacher or anyone in the office would be happy to help you sign up.
Have a great weekend,
Mrs. Stefanich

From the Gym:
This month we are finishing up with fitness testing and moving on to our soccer skills. The kids did a great job on the tests and I’m really looking forward to watching them improve this year!
We have been having some issues with kids remembering to bring gym shoes on PE days. There have been times when kids have had to miss out because I didn’t have enough loaner shoes. This is rare but the best course of action is to have the kids leave a pair of gym shoes here at school. This way they will never have to worry about it and it takes all the pressure off of the adults at home having to remember to grab shoes on the way out the door in the morning. Remember, gym shoes have a rubber bottom, cover the whole foot and have straps or laces to keep them on your child’s feet. Sandals, Crocs and heydudes are not safe in the gym. 3rd, and 4th graders will loose participation points if they don’t have their shoes.
It’s been a great start to the year and I look forward to working with your families this year! Please email or call me if you have any questions or concerns about your Little Eagle!
Be sure to give me a follow on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HPSParkPE to get weekly schedules, updates and fun pictures and stories for the gym!

School Lunch Information
Breakfast & Lunch
Breakfast and Hot Lunch are available everyday to all students. This year, school lunches are once again free to our students! This is such wonderful news and we look forward to feeding your children each day! Of course, you can still pack a lunch for your child if you prefer. (As a reminder, hot lunch is only free if your child takes a fruit or vegetable on their tray. Please remind them they have to *at least* put it on their tray for the lunch to be free.)

- Apply for Free and Reduced Price Meal benefits! If you are wondering if you would qualify, here are the Income Guidelines. Free and Reduced Meal Benefits are based on household size, income amount (gross), and income frequency. We encourage all families to apply, even though school lunches are free. Applying is confidential, and provides our school with additional supports for students.
- You will need to register a new account to monitor accounts or deposit online; Send Money to School accounts no longer exist.
- Regardless of benefits status, Milk-only purchases remain at $0.50 per carton. Milk is included as part of the whole MEAL benefit. However, if all your child wants is a carton of milk, their account will be charged 50 cents.

Our EPIC program is open to players ages 4 and above. Players will meet once a week during the fall, winter, and spring seasons for a weekly practice & game session. EPIC Buddies and their EPIC Coach will assist our EPIC players as they practice soccer drills and play in a weekly game. Anyone in or outside of the Hudsonville/Jenison area is eligible to participate.
EPIC Registration for 2023 Fall, Winter, Spring (7 weeks each session)

Winter Session - week of 1/8/24 through week 2/19/24 (indoors)
