Tractors in Oley? Oh Yaaaaa!
Terrific Tractor Traditions
Tractor Day is a longstanding tradition in the Oley Valley. On the senior student’s last day of high school, all students are encouraged to bring their tractors to school. Students wake up early in order to arrive at school on time. Around 6:30 students park their tractors in the front of the school and pictures are taken. After pictures, the students drive their tractors to the Oley Valley Fairgrounds where they park their tractors for the day. This event is a fun opportunity for students who are interested in agriculture to end the school year. This year 8 tractors were used as transportation for John and Grace Prout, Jay Houp, Colby Templin, Addison Arrowsmith and Nicholas Guldin, Ethan Sterner, Austin Kopfer, Kait Burkey, Tyler Swett, Bradley Arnold, and Emily Bologa. A special thanks to Mr. Kevin Bieber for allowing the participants to park their tractors on the Oley Valley Fairgrounds.
