6th Celebrations: Fri 2/24!
Free 8th Grade Tutoring: A group of NP3 HS students will be completing a service learning project through tutoring, Tuesdays after school from 3 - 4 p.m. in the library. Dean Do and his three group members have stressed their passion about helping 8th graders achieve academic goals in Math, History, English and Science. Tutoring is open to 16 8th grade students and will begin this upcoming Tuesday, 2/7. Please let me know if you have any students who may benefit from an extra hour of tutoring every week. You may also contact Dean Do (the tutor) at dodean26@gmail.com . Tutoring will be supervised by Mr. Lowery.
Conference Week Notices: Parent conference week is around the corner from 3/6-3/10! Please make sure your notices go out to parents no later than Fri 2/24. Conferences are expected to be in person - it's a GREAT way to connect with our families and share about our students' progress! Please also notify Anzelc, Edwards, Brinkmann and Aurora for needed attendance.
CAASPP Log-In: Log-in to CAASPP prior to Thurs PD! You can look for your log-in info in your email - you would have received an email sometime between January 3 and January 15. Report any difficulties to Edwards immediately (this would mean prior to Thursday).
Mindfulness For Teachers: Please remember we have our next book talk 4/6! Please pick a focus: 1) How can you apply mindfulness to your life? OR 2) How can you apply mindfulness to your personal life?
Duty Calls: Team! Come and sign up for semester 2 activities! The doc is ready to roll! Please place your name next to your most interested. NP3 High School Fun Fact: NP3 HS is hosting a parent night 3/2 for incoming 9th grade students! Come and learn more about NP3 HS.
Science Camp Fundraiser: 6th graders will be fundraising with Catalog books 2/3-2/17.
Pennies for Patients: 2/1-2/28 NP3 MS students will be collecting pennies for patients to help support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Sacramento. The advisory that collects the most money will win a prize. 2018 DC Trip Fundraiser: 7th graders participating in the 2018 DC trip will have the opportunity to sell See's Candy 2/13-3/1.
Annual Poetry Slam: 2/23 in Ms. Snelling's room from 1-1:40pm. All students and staff are welcome to share their poetry in an open mic format.
Spirit Week: 2/27-3/3 Mon-Mathletes vs. Athletes; Tues-Bikers vs. Surfers; Wed-D.C. vs. Marvel; Thurs-UCs vs. CSUs; Fri-70s vs 80s. Students who are not participating in spirit week must be in dress code.
Spring Dance: Fri 3/3 3:30-5:30pm. Students must be picked up at 5:30pm.
Booster Meeting: The next booster meeting will be on 4/10 at 6:30. Snacks are provided!
