8TH GRADE PARENTS - Ask your student to share!
All 8th graders will be taking two interest inventories in order to generate a list of possible future careers matched to them. The schedule of when each team will have this lesson is below. Please ask to see your student’s list and for them to show you this program. They love to see what matches they “get” and it’s interesting to see if it aligns what they think they would like to do in the future.
Team 8-3: Friday, December 6
Team 8-1: Friday, January 17
If your student is absent on the day their team does this lesson they will receive an email from Mrs. Hartwiger giving them the information they need to complete the inventory on their own. The presentation will also be posted in our 8th Grade Counselor Google Classroom after the final team has done the lesson (January 17th). You are welcome to view this presentation - just ask your student to pull it up for you!
Students will be visiting Spain Park High School in late January as a group to take a tour of the school and learn a little about the opportunities they will have as they begin their high school career. Taking the interest inventory and learning about possible career matches is a great way to make decisions about whether to join a Spain Park Academy.
More to come on transition nights and dates soon. Please check the newsletter and listen to Dr. Robbins’ announcements for these important dates and times.

Click on this box, and it will take you to another screen where you can purchase a p.e. uniform, yearbook, make donations to the classroom, pay PTO dues and donations or pay for a sport pass. Check the items you want to purchase, then add them to the cart. This way you can pay all the fees in one transaction.
