Visiting colleges may look a little different this year. This newsletter will give you the name of the college, the date and time of the college zoom meeting and the link to the meeting. You can visit with a college recruiter right in the comfort of your home.

  • Meet Associate Dean of Campus Life Dr. J.J. Manley—he’ll introduce you to college life with a culinary twist
  • Get a sneak peek of the hands-on learning at CIA with a live demonstration by a CIA graduate
  • Special application workshop for juniors, too

Francis Marion University

Francis Marion University is offering online applications for FREE up until May 1st, so please take advantage of that. After you have applied, the only thing you will need to receive a decision is your high school transcript. We are test optional this year, so students don’t need test scores to be admitted into the university.

Francis Marion is having in person tours of the university, Monday - Friday. The appointment times are 9:30; 11:00; and 2:00. Call for an appointment, 843-661-1231

· Furman will continue to be test optional this year. We have been test optional for about 10 years.

· There is no additional application requirement associated with being test optional (no extra essay/interview, etc.).

Horry Georgetown Technical College

HBTC, Conway, SC offers over 70 different degree, diploma, and certificate programs. Some of HGTC's newest programs include Cybersecurity, Outboard Marine, Teacher Education, Diesel Engine Technology, Vascular Sonography, and Machine Tool Technology. HBTC also offers the Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach. The college recently constructed two new Advanced Manufacturing Centers where you will train using real world, high precision tools and machinery.

Missouri State Scholarship

Incoming freshmen for the fall 2021 semester who have a GPA of at least 3.7 will automatically receive a scholarship worth up to $2,000 per year, regardless of whether they submit an ACT or SAT score. The existing scholarship program for students who provide an ACT or SAT score remains in place. For scholarship consideration apply by February 1, 2021.

Please note that March 1, 2021 is the final deadline for all applicants — Early Action and Regular Decision — who wish to receive financial aid.
