NWEA MAP Schedule BOY will be coming up on August 30th and will depend on your subject. Your principal will let you know the specific day in the window that will be dedicated to either RLA or Math screening. All students K-12 will be taking the Universal Screener Growth in Reading and Math. Click on the link for BOY, MOY and EOY important information. | Preparing our Students Understanding the why behind this type of testing is so important. Remember to tell them they will see things they don't know and that is OK. Pre-teach the tools and model with the practice test how to take this particular test. Everyone gets scratch paper on math as we want them to work out problems. Student Video and Practice Site | Before Testing - Create a Test Session You will do this a few days or a week before you test. Here is a link to the written steps and also a video if you are a visual learning. After you create the session, don't forget that you will need to manually put in all accommodations for individual students (SPED, 504, RtI, LEP) BISD How To for MAP Testing - Excellent to see the whole process |

NWEA Scure Testing App Prior to the day of testing, you will want to assure that each computer has the NWEA MAP App that looks just like this NWEA App pic. If they do not, it could be due to one of the following reasons: 1. The student needs to do the update and restart computer. 2. The computer is on the wrong WIFI. They should be on BISD student. You will need to change this and then restart. *Make sure to disconnect from the BYOD wifi and do the automatic connection to BISD student wifi. How do I check the network? 3. If none of these work, please email Brant Farris the names. | Headphones Tip On the day of testing, prior to clicking on the NWEA Secure Testing App you need to plug in the headphones (for students who have accommodations or the test requires it in MAP Fluency). When you plug it in first, the pop up window will appear asking you to use the headphones instead of internal speaker. | NWEA Growth Tips This is a very helpful guide to help problem solve specific issues that might arise like breaks, suspended students, students that did not finish, and needing to take 2 days.
